I think it can be the scariest thing to be vulnerable. The word Vulnerability means to be “exposed or possibility attacked.” It is hard to say you were hurt, or you are scared, or show who you are and what your dreams and passions are, for what if the person walks away; betrays you; somehow hurts you. I use to believe it was easiest to not let people in for then I wouldn’t be hurt. That left me so lonely.
I can say that because Doug and I trust each other and reveal who we are to one another, we get to experience this special love that only works when you trust someone and are vulnerable. That is the way God created us! We are meant to be known and to be loved. I pray you all have confidence to be YOU and to let people in. This world can be so beautiful, but it also can be so ugly. Both the good and the bad of today are meant to be shared. Be vulnerable with the people God has placed in your life. It is good.
