“Girls compete with each other, Woman empower one another”
I recently went to a VIP dinner full of Influences for Style Week OC. I was honestly so encouraged by the evening. The guest list was made up of men and woman who are ‘on top of their game’ in the blogger space, yet the atmosphere was full of good vibes. I left the evening feeling so encouraged and full.
I think as woman, we have all been in situations where you feel “sized up.” Many times, we dress for other woman and feel in some way that if another girl gets the home, or the children, or the perfect life, somehow we won’t.
What I have learned and want to encourage all the young girls out there is that there is enough (fill in your personal blank) to go around. There is enough happiness for you both, success for you both, husbands and fit bodies and love for you both. Just because one woman has something, doesn’t mean you won’t have the same dream, if that is your dream.
I believe it is important for woman to support one another. I want to be the girl that gives a smile and a compliment in the bathroom. It was so wonderful to be around other woman in the same space as me to encourage and help. I think this could be the norm if we all focus on our own path and journey and trust the process of our own life. Comparison is the thief of joy and when we are content in our own adventure, we can be happy for others that also have an amazing one!
