Doug and I have lived in Orange County for over a decade. We love it here and feel like it is the perfect space to raise our children and set roots for our family. Anaheim is a city within Orange County. Of course it’s known as being the home of the happiest place on earth, Disneyland, as well as Gwen Stefani’s hometown. Both of these facts are rad; but there is also so much more to Anaheim.
Doug and I had tickets to see One Republic at the Honda Center. Can I just tell you how amazing the Honda center is!? Parking is great, and the venue is wonderful. It’s a big concert vibe, yet somehow feels intimate. There is nothing like live music and throughout the night I had goosebumps and was singing along with a collection of fans I felt bonded to because of the music.
Before we went to the concert, we decided to check out The Anaheim Packing District. We had heard a lot about this place from our friends and were so impressed, it lived up to the hype. First off, just walking in you feel cool. The space felt artistic and bright and happy. They had all sorts of fun foods and the vibe was great. You had young people, families, dates, for a Friday night this place was going off.
We had dinner at Urbana and it was wonderful. It’s the only resturant in the Anaheim Packing District that takes reservations, and everything was yummy. The ceviche and margaritas were the home runs and we will be back for sure!
I totally recommend checking out Anaheim if you are in Orange County. Of course make an appearance at Disneyland, but make sure to take the time to explore everything else it has to offer. If you do, I’ll probably run into you….
