There are many ways to worship and feel connected to God. One way to do that; that I believe is extremely important, is through community. It is important to make a habit to meet with other believers on a weekly basis and refresh, recharge, and connect. This is crucial to our faith. We all have a longing to be known. Fellowship with one another is something our soul craves.
When I was on Real Housewives of Orange County, they showed a brief snippet of my weekly “Lifegroup.” I received by far the most questions about my Lifegroup then any other part of my life that was exposed through reality TV. People asked me what books we have gone through, and how they could get connected. Here is a brief list of some of the books my woman’s group or my Lifegroup have gone through this past year. To get connected to a group in your area, I would suggest finding a church you feel is a good fit for you, and find out if they have a Lifegroup / Bible Study / Woman’s Group / Connect Group that you could join.

Fruit of the Spirit by Beth Moore
My Mom’s Group has done this book twice in the past six years. Beth takes you through the different fruits of the spirit, spending a week on each fruit.
You and Me Forever by Francis Chan and Lisa Chan
My Lifegroup is all married couples, and so we went through this book with our spouses. There is also a few videos that you can watch alongside the reading. If you have never read a Francis Chan book, be prepared to have your socks knocked off!
Interrupted by Jen Hatmaker
This is a book geared towards woman. I love the way Jen Haymaker writes and all the ladies in my Womans Group still quote this book months later.
Love Does by Bob Goff
This is a good book if you are in a co-ed study. Doug loved this book. Bob is so fun and the chapters are short, making it easy to read one a day.
Breaking Free by Beth Moore
This Bible Study was life changing for me! I first read it 15 years ago and have gone back and done it 4 times since, every time learning something new about Jesus and myself.
Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren
This is a great book for a Lifegroup. It allows for some great discussion questions and is very motivational.
Happy reading friends!

I love your summaries of the books that have impacted you! I am going to go get me a copy of Breaking Free now! That sounds like a great book! Beth Moore is such a treasure! She always knows how to penetrate the heart using God’s truths. I also absolutely love Jen Hatmaker, Francis Chan, and of course, Bob Goff. Bob Goff recently spoke at Rockharbor Church in Costa Mesa. He blew my socks off too! Xo
