Mexico!!!
Awww Mexico. It has a special place in my heart. We just got home from a week of pure heaven at Las Rosadas and as we were leaving, Doug and I asked our boys what they liked more: Las Rosadas or home. After really thinking about it for a moment they all chanted “Las Rosadas!” That is how special this place is. It is truly a slice of paradise.
Many people are a little intimidated of traveling to Mexico. I get all sorts of questions on social media asking about traveling with my kids down there. We have traveled to Mexico at least twice a year for the past decade and have never felt unsafe. It is a gorgeous country full of beauty. The weather, the beaches, the cuisine, and the easy flight time from OC makes Mexico one of our families favorite destinations.
We have been to Las Rosadas two years ago and Maverick, my seven year old, remembers it as the “best day of his life.” I was a little apprehensive that it couldn’t be as magical and amazing as I remembered- but it is.
Las Rosadas is over 420 acres of beachfront land. It is private and the lots are for sale to be developed into personal villas. There is a beach club on the private beach for the home owners have access to- our whole week on the property and we only saw the staff and our family. Talk about luxury and private!
We stayed in a 5 bedroom villa with a yoga deck, infinity pool, and endless views of the private beach below. You merely say the word Margarita and your butler appears asking “blended or on ice.” The food was prepared by an amazing local Chef named Gloria. She made lobster while we dined watching the sunset with our toes in the sand. The staff would have a piñata one night to s’mores after the sunset the next evening for our children.
