Local Activities

I have been so excited for summer. Having three kids, the routine falls to the wayside and we go where the wind takes us… Beach days and pool days are what we are all about. But as the summer days start to drag and the kids start to fight, I start to find myself searching for activities to keep us all from hurting one another!!!

The OC Register is the greatest tool for local events, and for us moms to get fun activities for our kids. I started reading the OC Register to find out where the concerts in the parks were, and I have quickly realized there is so much more to discover. It’s impossible to know everything about living, working, and playing in Orange County. Whether it’s the beaches, schools, politics, food, or culture, the OC Register keeps us up to date on all that makes this community an amazing place to call home.

I love social media, I am a blogger and enjoy Instagram and Snapchat and every other app, but call me old school if you must, I love the feeling of a newspaper. The smell and the ritual of sitting and looking through all the articles and stories. I love reading it in front of my boys and getting them involved. I show them the options of the local events and we choose which one we will attend as a family.

Whatever your family traditions are, I pray this summer we all slow down and enjoy one another. Look up from the phones and the to do list and have some fun at your closest local event.
