Newport Beach Resturant Week happens once a year and I look forward to it as much as my kids look forward to Christmas!! It is put on by Dine Newport Beach and is a 14-day event that takes place every January I also get my girlfriends together for a girls night, I do a date night night with Doug and we will do a few family dinners as well. It is a great way to try new restaurants locally, or go to some of my old favorites but try items on the menu I have never experienced.

During the two weeks this year, I dined at some amazing restaurants and want to break down some of my favorite spots and dishes for you.

Coliseum Pool and Grill (Pictured above)

This restaurant is always a favorite and a crowd pleaser. This year I went with some girlfriends to celebrate a birthday! It is alfresco dining at its finest. With Newport Beach weather and the pacific ocean views, you really can’t beat the atmosphere. They are known for their burger, but the poke bowl is hands down my go to order. It is super yummy and one of my favorites. Whenever I dine here, I end up pretty much spending he afternoon! Where else do you have to be that could be better!?

Provenance Resturant (Pictured below)

Provenance is Newport Beach’s best kept secret! The restaurant is tucked away in a shopping mall, and I have heard from numerous friends that it is hands down their favorite restaurant in Newport. I have always wanted to go there, and so resturant week was the perfect chance. You get to try a bunch of stuff on the menu and for a great price. I love to try new places during the two weeks. Provenance is my new spot and have already gone back. The Ancient Grains Super Chop Salad is getting all the buzz for lunch with locals and there is no doubt in my mind why. It is amazing and filling, healthy and delicious. This is hands down my new favorite spot.

Farmhouse at Rogers Gardens (Pictured above)

Magical and enchanted- Farmhouse at Rogers Gardens offers a unique and special dining experience. I have dined here for many special occasions for it is such a special venue, everyone wants to go here to celebrate!  Farmhouse has locally sourced seasonal ingredients to create a fresh and heathy culinary experience. Their hand crafted cocktails are always fresh and unique and constantly changing. Farmhouse is romantic and the food is fresh. Everytime I have dined here I walk away with a happy tummy and happy spirit.

Nobu (Pictured below)

Everyone in town was counting down the days for Nobu at Lido Marina Village to open. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. It is a stunning restaurant and is located on the water so the view isn’t bad either. Between the clientele, the exquisite design and the harbor view, there really isn’t anywhere you can look and not see beauty. The food is exceptional and you can not order a bad dish. Nobu is famous for a reason and people come from all over to dine here. You will not be disappointed at Nobu.

I love restaurant week and I love supporting local businesses. These are just a few of the restaurants that participated this year. Comment on my social media if you dined at any of these restaurants and let me know what you think!

xoxo Lydia
