Timing is everything. I believe in the timing of my life.
When I was in college, I wanted to be in love. All my friends were dating and I felt alone. I felt like no one knew the real me and I would wish and wish for my soul mate to come. However, instead of settling and dating boys I knew weren’t a good match to pass the time, I invested in myself. I would do bible studies alone. I would volunteer. I would keep myself busy in ways that were sharpening my character.
When it was Gods perfect timing to meet my future husband years later, I was ready. I had been a good steward with my time and had deepened my faith. My identity rested firmly in the Lord. I trusted The Lord for answering my prayers for love with a “Not yet” and instead of being bitter or doubting, I trusted GODS TIMING over my own point off view on the way I thought things should go.
Now, I still get “not yet” and “no’s” from the Lord. I trust that in His perfect timing things will unfold as they should. I want t0 be wise with the time and gifts I have and not squander them, but use them for Gods glory. I trust the Lord and His timing, not mine.
Whatever season you find yourself in, don’t waste it! Be wise with your time and your resources. You never know what God has planned around the bend, and you want to be prepared for the adventure that lies ahead! Even in a season of waiting, we can be active. Make your season of waiting a verb. Have faith in your journey and the timing of your life… because quite honestly, then you will find yourself like me- Having the Time of your life!
