Real or fake? That is the question…..
I have always loved having a real Christmas tree. The tradition of picking out the tree, bringing it home and decorating it as a family was something I didn’t want to ever give up on. I love the Christmas tree smell, synopsis of Christmas for me. My feeling was if we got a fake tree, all that would be taken from me.
However, our real Christmas tree would always die with in a week. The branches turned brittle and it would be a mess and a hassle. My mom had a fake tree and every year would tell me how amazing and easy it was.
So- this year we took the plunge! Our family researched and decided treetopia had the best, most realistic looking trees around. We ordered it online and within days it was mailed to our doorstep. We took it out of the box and plugged it in. We literally pressed a button and the tree grew before our eyes while my boys ran circles around it (Check out the video here) to the tune of holiday music playing in the background.
What I have to tell you is the tradition and memory of putting up a tree is still with me! We still decorated the tree, played Christmas carols and made merry memories together. Our tree looks super realistic and it couldn’t have been easier. My only regret is I went so many years buying the real thing. Now, I will light a Christmas scented candle, push a button, and watch my tree grow every year. I am a fan of fake trees. I would never thought I would say it, but that is my truth!!
