I work with a lot of photographers. From being on “Real Housewives of Orange County” to working with our magazines (BHL and NOBLEMAN). I love being on set and feel like it is my second home. This summer, when we went to my real home in Newfoundland, my parents (nana and pop pop) wanted to get a family photo. There was a lot of discussion what colors we should wear, but there was no discussion on who our photographer would be: Sara Rostotski. Sara comes from generations of photographers. When I was a little girl, her father took our family portrait. This was decades ago. She is not only following her fathers footsteps, but keeping the company in the family by partnering up with her husband Norm.
Having three kids, a family photoshoot is always donting.
Can we talk about stressful?! They have to look good and stand still- and smile.
All of them.
At the same time.
Good one.
Oh, and you have to do your own hair and look your best as well! I’m all hot and bothered just thinking about it!!
This was not our experience with Sara. She had literal treasure chests for the kids filled with puppets and toys. Norm (her husband) would entertain the kids and put the toys right in front of the camera, causing the kids to genuinely laugh. Our time with Sara and Norm was so fun our boys didn’t want to leave! We stayed and played with the Rostotski’s for an hour after our session was over (they have kids the similar age). We love the photos, and her eye for lighting and natural posing is perfect.
Sara says it best herself, “I specialize in Fine Art Wall Portraiture. Classic and timeless photography capturing fleeting moments and precious people.”
