There is power in prayer. The Bible is filled with verses on Prayers, and Jesus himself teaches us how to pray with the Lords Prayer.
Chances are, you have prayed. If you consider yourself a believer or not, when you find yourself or someone you love in a hard situation, your heart looks above and your Spirit talks to our Maker.
Eph 6:18 tells us to “Pray in the Spirit in all occasions and with all kinds of requests.”
I had a hard time with my prayer life when I was a new believer. I never knew if I should be formal with God, or talk to him like he’s my best friend. Sometimes I have felt guilty for asking for anything as I feel I have so much. Other times I’m scared to ask for something because if God doesn’t come through, will that cause me doubt?
All I know is to pray you just have to start! It really is that simple. The more I pray, the more comfortable I am praying. I also feel it bonds us to the people we are praying for and who we are praying with.
I love hearing my husband Doug pray. I love hearing my kids pray and I feel connected to them because of prayer. I also feel connected for the people I am praying for. There is divine power in prayer. The Spirit guides us and intertwines us through prayer.
I will be praying for you and your journey of faith. Please pray for me too friends!!
