John 11:42 says ” I know that you always hear me.”
This morning as I was drinking my coffee and feeding my baby, and having a zillion things I wanted to complete before the day was over, I was reminded of this truth. I sat in my chair and just really tried to grasp this simple promise.
My God hears me.
He hears my formal prayers to Him, but he also hears the way I talk to myself. The things I think about myself.
He knows my hopes and dreams, and my fears and sadness. My disappointments and frustrations. He always hears me. That is a promise.
My day went a little differently than planned after that. That one simple verse changed my thought life and therefore changed the rhythm of my day. I am so grateful that we serve a God that hears us. That knows us, and loves us. Thank you Jesus for such a beautiful promise… and I know you hear me.
